Marine Fauna of the Comores
The
Comores host a superb marine fauna, well known for offering excellent
diving. The deep
waters off the archipelago are perhaps best known, however, for their
good population of the legendary coelacanth, a fish whose rediscovery
in the 1930's did much to clarify our understanding of the evolution of
